    We invite you to join us!

    With one of the activist teams from CICD in England, you can be part of improving health and education for some of the poorest people on our earth.
    At the same time you earn university points for your future career in the A-certificate studies in “Fighting with The Poor”, as a distance student with our partner school One World University in Mozambique.
    The next teams start in November 2016 and May 2017.

    The 18 months programme goes like this:
    - 6 months studies in international relations, rich and poor countries. Training and preparation in your Trio for the service period
    - 6 months voluntary work at a development project in Africa or India
    - 6 months studies and exams for the A-certificate. Journalism - prepare articles, films, presentations to share your experiences with the public in Europe.

Tasks

CICD works together with Humana People to People, a not-for-profit organisation that runs a large number of projects in 12 countries in Africa as well as in different parts of India. You can work with: - Education of children and adults in Preschools, Primary schools and Teachers Training Colleges - Training of youth in vocational schools - Environmental preservation and water projects - Farming - working with small scale farmers to improve production in sustainable way - Health campaigns: prevention of HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis

Criteria

You don’t need previous experience or qualifications. You need to be minimum 18 years old, have finished your 12 years in school, hold an EU passport and be flexible and ready for big challenges! Course fees apply, to cover your training, food and accommodation while at CICD in England. (But if you don't have much money - don;t give up! Contact us to learn about the Gaia scholarship programme.) During your 6 months in Africa or India your expenses are covered by the organisation.
