“Fighting with The Poor/ A certificate” – 24 months programme with Gaia goes like this:
- 5 months Gaia saving up programme - to raise a scholarship towards the course fees (optional)
- 6 months studies of international relations specialising in North/South, Richer and The Poor
- 3 months working and saving up, getting ready to travel
- 3 months travel overland with your team – by bus or land-rover, or maybe public transport - to your destination in Africa
- 6 months voluntary work at a community development project with Humana People to People
- 6 months conclusions, reports and journalism + studies and final exams
Criteria
You don’t need previous experience or qualifications to join the programme.
You need to be minimum 18 years old and to have finished 12 years of school. You must hold an EU passport, be flexible and ready for big challenges!
Course fees apply, to cover your training and travel expenses. But if you don't have much money, don't give up! You are welcome to apply to join the Gaia team,our scholarship programme, from August 2015.
Procedure
The Gaia Team is for you who have a "big heart and small purse" and need a scholarship to cover the course fees. It is a "saving up" programme where you can raise a scholarship to cover the course fees. Starting date for the Gaia team: 3.4.2017
