“Going back to the village, moving up to the future”

Total number of 4 volunteers will participate for 10 months ( 1-7 Octomber 2013 – 1-7 August 2014) in an EVS program taking place in Bulgaria. The main purpose will be decreasing the young people’s unemployment and fighting against the social isolation among the youngsters living in detached areas. The selected volunteers have to initiate contacts with local residents and work for their life positive outlook. Based on the traditional art, literature, customs, culture and the environmental way of life, the volunteer’s activities are supposed to be the main interaction with the locals.
Main part of the activities are related to the nature – landscaping, adding a forest path signalization, mountain climbing etc. By using environmental resources and their own creativity, volunteers are supposed to innovate and recreate the Community center’s building in Rebrovo village. At the foot of the Stara Planina mountain volunteers has to organize and release events, workshops, art ateliers for children and youngsters. Promote the volunteer’s activity trough the local residents is one of the main project’s aims. The volunteers will be taught in Bulgarian according to the method of Suggestopedia – a UNESCO recognized teaching method invented by the Bulgarian psychiatrist – prof. G. Lozanov. As a result of project’s activities and the experience exchange we are expecting establishing a model of international standard for realization (according to the market requirements) of young people with social and economical difficulties.
