Main activity of our organization is development of eco-tourism in Valgamaa and other places of Estonia. Members of our organization are young people united by idea of eco-friendly attitude to nature and environment.
When we have free time apart from main work (all activities are organized on voluntary basis) we travel around Estonia and other countries & prefer to do it in relatively undisturbed natural areas for the purposes of admiring them and learning more about their habitats.
Eco-tourism seeks to reduce its impacts on the area visited. It also contributes to conservation of natural areas and sustainable development of adjacent areas and communities, generating further awareness among resident and nearby populations and visitors.
Started from hobby of several enthusiastic people, it became social activity and now we take in our traveling those youngsters who are interested in this theme, but never tried before, teach them and share experience.
We also encourage and mobilize volunteers for sustainable development of our region by organizing small-scale groves attached to local green areas, young children learn about tree planting and the importance of a sustainable environment by working alongside with their peers.
Members of our organization are located mostly in Valga, but there are also like-minded persons in other cities (Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu and others). At this moment we have about 30 active people, mostly school and university students, who participate in our activities and try to develop their own.
We have strong relationships with several schools and student organizations and amount of members and scale of activities is rapidly increasing.
