Support Opportunities:
We seek to partner with support friends with an interest to visit Kenya and volunteer in YES program activities that include but not limited to:
• Teach english subjects to youths in formal and non formal secondary schools. The core subjects include English and math, chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography and civics.
• Train a variety of skills to youth, such as iCT skills including digital [computer] literacy, graphics design, web design and media [video and film] skills, entrepreneurship and life skills including youth healthy lifestyle, HIV/AIDS prevention education.
• Provide resources in digital village hubs for youths that provide education, training and advocacy activities.
• Organize educational and training workshops and camps
• Organize recreational activities in sports [soccer, netball, basketball, and volleyball], music, dance, drama, choir, educational theatre productions and youth group discussions, counseling and training toward income-generating activities.
• Out-reach support visits (to youths in local family homes, schools, hospitals and prisons).
• Mentoring, counseling and advocacy activities to the youths.
• Supporting the education needs of youths
