Hello, my name is Leon Gojani, I’m from Kosovo and I would like to make an old dream of mine come true: to participate in the European Voluntary Service.
I want to collaborate in this Voluntary Service for many reasons. In the first place my interest has always moved towards volunteering, and now I really feel that this is the right moment in my life to collaborate with it. I really think volunteer work is an act of mutual benefit that can improve the lives of hundreds of people.
I studied Social Scince in High School of Klina because I love to talk to people and learn from them.Now im in University of Pristina (Political Scineces). I love the cinema, radio, to write good stories. For friends and relatives I have written short stories. I’m a very creative and dynamic person and I feel that I could create and supervise innovative projects, and see them through till the end. Probably, this mixture of energy, commitment and creativity are the qualities that best define my personality. I would also prefer to work in a team atmosphere because I like learning from other people. I think that it’s necessary to be open-minded and to be receptive if you want to do a good work in a team.
I have made very good experiences working with people of town, contributing to improve the lives of people with limited opportunities. Volunteering has given me the chance to work with children of all ages. It was a wonderful experience for me because while collaborating with children I really learned a lot and I discovered that I love working with them. In all these social projects I have been able to develop many skills: for example I can remain calm under stressful situations and I feel that I can help people.
My interests include travelling, reading, learning about new cultures and new languages, arts, music, books and I'm quite a good writer. I like very much sport! In fact I have practised football.
Among the abilities that I can offer are a great liking to writing and a great disposition to acquire a new language immersed in the culture of a country.
A voluntary service project offers the unique opportunity to develop my skills and to apply all the things I have learned in my life helping others. I know that I can contribute to the community with my work and my enthusiasm. I have a lot of things to offer. I’m a very reliable person, honest and with a strong personality.
