Projects aimed at facilitating working and social inclusion of vulnerable groups of people.

The Paideia Foundation has been carrying out since 1995 employment projects aimed at groups of people in risk of social exclusion. In these projects there are 3 alternatives depending on the profile of the beneficiaries: there is the possibility of finding employment in the normal work market, or joining special work centres or social economy companies, or starting a pre-employment training process.
The activities in which the volunteers will take part in these projects will be of support to the technicians and professionals of the project. They will take part in interviews presenting the project to beneficiaries, families and institutions; they will assist the technicians in assessing disabilities, and in designing individual employment insertion projects, in the search for companies, project presentation, and follow up of the people that have taken up jobs. In the special work centres, they will support the technicians in the different fields (gardening, nursery, computer graphic design, up keeping of premises). They will take part in the team , coordinating and planning meetings. They will also take part in the design and development of specific programmes. The activities undertaken by the volunteer will never substitute paid work , nor will they be exclusively administrative tasks, or ones with profitable aims.
