Who we are..
Our association Fiatal Alternatíva Társaság (Association of Youth Alternatives) is a Hungarian Non Governmental Organization. (Est. 2000) Our goal is to present several alternatives for the youngsters: showing the importance and the role of NGO's in the EU, building up a conscious life, making contacts all around the world.
The association was established in Újpest, the North-East part of Budapest, the initiative of a group to thinking to collect that kind of persons who have the same idea work as an NGO. In the beginning we organized legal, environmental and social activities. We also organized some sport activities (football) with minorities.
We took part at several seminars and workshops. E.g.: The European Social Forum (Florence, Paris, London), contact making seminars (Lisbon, Berlin), and the peace symbol in Budapest according to exchange of international experience.
We think that today's youth don't pay sufficient attention on planning their future. Our main principals are environmental and legal consciousness, solidarity and idea of the European nationality. We would like to change youth into a proactive person who can create a valuable life.
We want to show alternatives to the youth - for example - how to involve the youth into the civil, and voluntary life, how to spread the idea of solidarity etc.
We are taking efforts to exchange our experiences with foreign partners.
