Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. was founded in 2004 with the aim to provide opportunities to young people and adults to use and develop their soft and professional skills, stimulate their creativity and entrepreneurial skills through non-formal learning methods.
JKPeV aspires to promote cultural exchange among European countries and to contribute to the social integration of young people and adults. Thereby young people's and adults' competences with regard to culture and their knowledge of European history, politics and society are to be strengthened. Through the organisation and implementation of diverse international projects, the association is dedicated to the coaching of volunteers, youth workers and professionals in the fields of arts, culture, entrepreneurship, project management and EU citizenship. An essential part of the association's projects is to familiarize participants with the city of Dresden and its particular history, culture and lifestyle and at the same time to promote EU citizenship and cultural diversity. For this reason, Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. brings together international and local people to interact culturally through its projects. The results of the projects are presented to the public through cultural and art events, thus contributing to the cultural life of the city. Through the association's projects and work, Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. seeks to promote active participation and EU citizenship.The association has got a long and diverse experience in training youth workers and professionals in the fields of culture, art, education, creative economy and entrepreneurship using non-formal education tools. These learning tools are aimed at social innovation, networking and community building, as well as at a beneficial impact on the local community/ies. JKPeV has organized and implemented activities bringing together young people, youth workers, trainers, artists, entrepreneurs and project managers from different European countries on various specific topics and themes.
JKPeV provides opportunities to young people for vocational education and training. Young people, students and young professionals at entry level are welcome to apply for a traineeship, internship, Erasmus placement and European Voluntary Service – EVS.
