  • This weekend is dedicated future Volunteers joining Another Kind of School programs at DRH Holsted in cooperation with One World University.
    People joining this event are enrolled (or intend to enroll) for this program:

    Fighting with The Poor & Pedagogy - 24 Months
    Start Dates August & February

    The people in our world are in need of teachers who have a high standard of ethics and practice and who know about the lives of the people they touch and nurture through their teachings. At the same time, the world needs activists who understand the basis of The Poor and who show personal willingness, ability and readiness to fight side by side with The Poor.

    12 months in Denmark
    Working as teacher or assistant teacher at a school; training youth or adults who need special
    support, or as a worker at Humana People to People clothes collection. Studying and investigating subject matter relevant to each period headline, using a range of pedagogical variables. You will prepare yourself for the 2nd Period in a developing country, choose a specific project and specialize your preparation towards this during the last six months of your stay in Denmark.

    8 months in a Developing country
    As a Development Instructor at a Humana People to People project you will have the possibility to work with people in the poorest parts of the world in both a pedagogical setting and ‘Fighting with The Poor’.

    4 months in Denmark
    Finalizing the studies, taking exams of One World University and bringing knowledge and experience to the public in Denmark and Europe.

    You need EU passport, 12 years of school and motivation for 2 years full of challenges, hard work, comradeship, culture, studies, volunteer jobs, social work, practical work and much more - the new and unexpected - is waiting for you. Join us to make a real difference.
