  • Kisumu Youth Network Forum is an umbrella group of young people from different NGO’s, CBOS and youth groups who are committed in embracing inter generational, cultural and communal dialogue as a tool to share and bring lasting changes within communities. The organization’s mission is to promote sustainable practices to solve environmental challenges and create jobs. In this regard we have organized an international conference on GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN DEVELOPING COMMUNITIES, to give a chance to youth from around the world to share on the impact of going green and how to capitalize on it.
    Objectives:
    1. To share practical ideas that can be implemented by low income communities to conserve environment and create jobs
    2. To facilitate a forum for likeminded youth to develop ideologies that can be adopted and implemented by government and NGOS to safeguard our environment.
    3. To involve youth and policy makers in environmental management and conservation.
    4. To establish a culture of youth networking in a environment conservation
    The conference schedule will be as follows: Arrival and checking in hotel in Kisumu is 6th January the Conference begins on 7th and ends on 10th January 2013
    Participation Requirements
    1. Registration fee of 20 US Dollars or KE 1,700 to be paid latest on 30th September 2012
    2. 250 US Dollars for 4 dinners, 4 breakfasts, 4 10 o’clock tea, 4 lunches, Four 4 0’click tea and transportation from Nairobi to Kisumu and within the conference venue.
    Closing day activity Planting of 1000 trees in Nyalenda Slums Kisumu.
