If you are READY to face the problem, STEADY to fight with discrimination and EQUAL in a final result, this is a project for YOU!
“READY.STEADY.EQUAL!” is a training course for youth leaders from LesbianGayBisexualTransgender community (or youth workers in this field). The main theme of the project is discrimination based on sexual orientation. Through the learning process, sharing of the experience and exchange of good practice we will try to find a news ways of achieving equality together.
This project is based on stimulating creativity. First of all we will learn about different anti-discrimination campaigns. Then we will meet some interesting people with an experience in realizing LGBT anti-discrimination campaigns. And finally we will create the new campaign. With the knowledge, fresh ideas and personal creativity you will get the new experience and hopefully find yourself one step closer to being EQUAL.
During the 7 days of training course participants will have a chance to express themselves through group discussion activity, simulation exercises, games, etc. Participants will also have time and space to organize cultural evenings, introduce their organizations and exchange experiences.
Participants profile:
LGBT youngsters and NGO-workers in this field (18-28 years old). In projects will be involved 5 EU countries and 5 partner countries from EECA, 4 participants per country.
For us is very important to have participants who are :
• somehow connected with LGBT community and can present how people approach the topic in their countries;
• really interested in anti-discrimination theme;
• creative and open –minded;
• would be good if at least 1 person in the team will have an experience in photography/movie making
