  • We're looking for EVS registered organizations (coordinating/sending organizations) that can apply for the 1st November Funding deadline in order to implement our project "EDUCATION PATH" designed to pair disadvantaged students with mentors who will help them get their school and/or college degrees. This project is focused on different areas: academic > literacy & maths; foreign languages; IT & Employability skills; International Youth Café> social issues: drugs/alcohol abuse, sports, education through sports, team work, etc; TakingITGlobal AYV (Adobe Youth Voices) project> provide opportunities for young people to be the creators and producers of their own media messages, thereby creating their own independent and alternative work. With the help of the AYV platform they are learning as they create both the strengths and limitations of each media form and as they transform media they are being transformed into literate active participants in society. The goals of the AYV youth media program can be cited as follows:
    1. Youth Voice - the aptitude of self expression
    2. Youth Development – the process of developing the skills and personal attributes that enable young people to become successful adults
    3. Media Literacy – the ability to analyze, evaluate and produce information in a variety of media forms
    4. Skill Development – such as communication critical thinking, technology and media production skills
    5. Social action or civic engagement for capacity building
    The recurring outcomes and impacts on participants of the AYV youth media program have been:
    1. Improved communication skills, critical thinking
    2. Improved community perception of youth
    3. Positive youth development, increase self esteem, more positive attitude towards school and their futures
    4. Increased social action and civic engagement
