  • Associação Internacional de Voluntariado is hosting an International WorkCamp to be held in Tofo beach, Mozambique, from the 16th of August to the 30th of August, 2015. ASIVO will have an opportunity to bring attention to the environment which is a major concern for communities and people in Tofo beach and around the world.
    Participation in this Camp will allow the volunteers to gain practical experience to further their education as well as develop a lifetime network of friends.

    TYPE OF WORK:
    Develop an awareness campaign around environmental issues;
    Trees planting activities along the beach;
    Beach clean-up;
    Host seminars regarding simple practices that “Protect our Environment."
    Educate people about climate change.

    Portuguese & English

    WHAT TO BRING
    Tents( optional) working gloves and sleeping bags.

    FEES
    The camp fee is US$215 per person. The fee includes the airport pick up, hotel/backpacker on arrival date, transport from Maputo to and from Tofo beach (camp site) as well as board and logging.

    ACCOMMODATION:
    Accommodation will be provided in front beach tents at the Tofo beach. the tents will be provided by ASIVO.

    VOLUNTEERS BENEFITS
    Intensive Portuguese classes during the workcamp; (450 hours);
    Develop leadership skills by facilitating activities during the camp;
    Certificate of participation at the end of the camp.
    Assistance to obtain the necessary visa to Mozambique.

    APPLICATION PROCEDURES
    1-Download, fill and sign the application form available; The application should be sent to [email protected] and the email should be titled “Tofo beach camp”;
    2-Send the necessary fees to ASIVO’s bank account and email the proof to [email protected]. The Bank account details are available here;
    3-We send you a letter of acceptance which may be presented at the embassy for your VISA application to Mozambique if necessary;
    4-You send us your flight details and arrival time so that we can arrange a pick up.
