We are looking for partners from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, UK, Belgien, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland for an intercultural youth meeting in Saxony-Anhalt taking place already 22nd time–EUROCAMP 2013!
This year a group of over 80 people coming from nearly 40 European countries will be invited to celebrate diversity of cultures from 28th July until 18th August in education ecenter Ottersleben/ Magdeburg.

The central topic of this year’s programme is European identities and the engagement in and for Europe. They will have the possibility to discuss and understand what this means to them, and present their opinions using different methods:

•Theatre project, here the Eurocampers will themselves become stage actors, designing together in a week on different scenes and present the performens publicly in the parc ambiente
•Youth conference – the main aim for it will be to understand what motivates young people to travel abroad and to get to know other cultures and languages. Besides this topic there will be an opportunity to take part in various workshops and discuss issues relating youth and Europe.
•Activities for intercultural awareness–presentations of countries in “European Café” and "Cultural Night", trying out variety of local specialties in “European Buffet”,simulation games etc.
•Communal work-for five hours daily all Eurocampers will work on various cultural and ecological projects. This way they will have the possibility to get to know other mentalities in rather unusual situations.

ROLE OF PARTNERS:
Each of partner organizations will be expected to find and select 2 young people for EUROCAMP

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
Between 18 and 25 years of age
Knowledge of the German language
Preferably-interested in international youth work

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS:
The organisers will pay all costs relating to accommodation and food for participants as well as to the programme. Travel expenses will be refunded on a pro rata basis as a fixed sum, whereby the fixed sum will be calculated on the basis of the cheapest transport available and a reasonable contribution from the participant
