_This is a call for partners_
Milechild is a registered grassrooted charity children based organization that has been succesfully running projects in the district of Masaka, Uganda, since 2010, involving more than 300 volunteers from all over the world.
This year around the foundation is looking for European partners interested in working as a sending organization in the range of the Youth in Action Program. We would like to reach out to even more youngers from Europe, interested in environmental issues and eco-friendly practises. Our Ecovillage Uganda project focus on promoting knowledge and training on environmental conservation and sustainable development for rural communities. The aim is to blend environmentally friendly solutions with traditional farming techniques as practiced by farmers on their families land. Improve the health and well-being of impoverished village communities in a sustainable way.
Our target groups are rural households, farmers, key stakeholders and most especially youth, both local and international. Volunteers are the one that make the organization's work possible. We have projects running all over the year divided in two phases: set up/evaluation and the implementation phase.
EU has shown in the last years its commitment and allegiance to global issues, working hard to promote eco-friendly practises and behaviour among its community members.
This is only one of the main reason why we, at MILECHILD firmly want to cooperate and partner with an European NGO. We believe that great things can be done once we join forces.
